Frequently Asked Questions

At Diamond Dental Arts, we believe that an informed patient is a happy patient. Whether you’re curious about a specific procedure or just looking for tips to keep your smile bright, we’ve gathered answers to our most common questions below. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, our friendly team is always just a call away!

Do you accept dental insurance?

You absolutely can use your insurance at our office. We are an out-of-network, unrestricted provider, which means you pay us directly for services, and we submit the claim to your insurance provider for reimbursement to you, based on your out-of-network benefits. This way, you can choose the dentist you prefer while still using your insurance, and allow us focus entirely on treating you based on your needs rather than what an insurance contract dictates.

What if I don’t have dental insurance?

No Insurance? No Problem! We offer our Diamond Savings Club annual memberships to help you save 10% on basic and major services. We have two tiers designed to fit your needs: GOLD Plan ($499/year): Includes 2 cleanings, exams, X-rays, 1 fluoride treatment, and 1 free emergency exam. (Total Savings: $229) DIAMOND Plan ($649/year): Includes 3 periodontal maintenance cleanings, exams, X-rays, 1 fluoride treatment, and 1 free emergency exam. (Total Savings: $394) Both plans include a 10% discount on eligible basic and major services. For full details and terms, please visit our Insurance and Financing page.

Do you offer payment plans or financing?

Not a member? No problem! We offer flexible financing options to help make your dental care more affordable. We work with trusted providers, including: CareCredit: Pay for treatments over time with convenient monthly payments and interest-free options. Cherry: A "buy now, pay later" plan with quick approvals and no hard credit checks. We also partner with several other providers to ensure you find a plan that fits your budget. You can see all available options and apply directly on our Insurance and Financing page.

Do you offer financing options for larger treatments?

Absolutely. We believe everyone deserves a healthy smile. We work with third-party providers like CareCredit and offer internal payment plans to help make your dental care fit comfortably into your monthly budget.

What should I do in case of a dental emergency?

If you experience a knocked-out tooth, severe pain, or a broken restoration, contact us immediately. For a knocked-out tooth, keep it moist (in milk or a tooth saver kit) and try to see us within 30–60 minutes for the best chance of saving it.

How often should I visit the dentist for a checkup?

For most patients, we recommend a professional cleaning and examination every six months. This allows us to catch potential issues early and remove tartar that regular brushing cannot reach.

How can I get my kids to brush their teeth?

Make it fun! Use a timer with their favorite song, let them pick out a colorful character toothbrush, and use "reward charts" for consistent brushing. Most importantly, lead by example; let them see you enjoying your own dental routine.

What are my options for protecting and restoring my teeth?

We offer a variety of treatments to keep your smile healthy and strong. For protection, we provide dental sealants and fluoride treatments to prevent decay. For restoration, we use high-quality composite fillings, crowns, and bridges to repair damaged or missing teeth. Our goal is to preserve as much of your natural tooth structure as possible while ensuring a beautiful result.

Are dental X-rays safe?

Yes. We use digital X-rays, which emit significantly less radiation than traditional film. We also use lead aprons to ensure maximum safety. X-rays are vital for seeing what’s happening beneath the gum line and between teeth.

Why do my gums bleed when I floss?

Bleeding is often a sign of gingivitis or early gum disease, usually caused by plaque buildup. While it may seem counterintuitive, continuing to floss gently and improving your hygiene will usually stop the bleeding within a week or two.

What cosmetic options do you offer?

If you are looking to enhance your smile, we offer several cosmetic solutions tailored to your goals. These include professional Teeth Whitening, custom Porcelain Veneers, and Clear Aligners to straighten your teeth. We also use tooth-colored materials for all our restorations so your dental work looks completely natural.

Do you offer tooth-colored (mercury-free) fillings?

Yes! At Diamond Dental Arts, we use composite resin (white fillings). Unlike old silver/amalgam fillings, composite resin bonds directly to your tooth, requires less drilling, and matches the natural color of your smile for a seamless, mercury-free result.

How long will the results of teeth whitening last?

Typically, professional whitening results last anywhere from six months to two years. The longevity depends heavily on your habits; avoiding staining agents like coffee, red wine, and tobacco will help keep your smile bright for much longer
